Why is weight loss such a big factor in society these days?


Now-a-days people are willing to do anything to realize weight loss. Everybody is in their quest to be skinny.
I think The Major reason of it, is the media.
Due to the development of the technology and science media is getting an essential part of human life.
People are ready to take drastic measures to look as the models, they see through the advertisement.
To promote their product, most of the time the merchandisers mislead us by showing the actor/actress and models who have best shaped body.
So everywhere we go the word “weight loss” is buzzing around in the part of discussion.
But why the word “weight loss” has started? Why it was not there on the time of American independence on July 4, 1776!


 That time nobody knew about the fancy diets such as, fad diets, miracle diet, weight loss diet etc.
Why those people had never bothered about their body weight or bad effect of food on health?
Because -----
In 1776, in newly independent country nobody was known about the hamburgers, hot dogs or ketchup.
According to American History the hot dogs on buns only got popularized around in last century, ketchup hadn’t taken entry in the world of cuisine until 1800s.

Before 1800s
Eating Food was the part of the enjoyment, not the event of feeling guilty. Most of the people used to eat 3000 to 4000 calories or even more than many oversight people eat today, but still the word obesity was not in the picture.
People used eat everything such as meat, butter, milk, eggs and carbohydrates. Rather just concentrating on chomping like a bunny,
because  ------
Doing laundry
  • people used to walk a lot.
  • Their mode of transportation was riding horses or rowing boats etc. 
  • So they used to use their body calories to move themselves instead of motor.
  • People used to go out to shop around because there was not online system. Washing, cleaning and grinding used to be done by physical efforts, not by the automatic machines, so earlier days people used to expend a lot of calories—in their everyday jobs and chores.
               Earlier days there were no source of artificial preservation so the seasons were always an issue, so people use to eat fruits, vegetables seasonally.
While there was no concept of storage people used to consume fresh foods.
The fruits and vegetable which Mother Nature gifts us in every season, has their unique antioxidant quality which we need to stay healthy from different bacteria and viruses.
 Meats were without any chemical preservatives. People used to use salt to preserve meats and fishes if it needed to store them for a while.

So present lifestyle, especially in urban cities makes it extremely vital that we choose methods of weight loss strategies that are healthy.
  • A good way of staying completely in shape is eating organic food. Try to eat natural, as they are utterly healthy food.
  • Cook your food at home, because if you prepare the meal yourself, there is absolutely no chance that an artificial additive or chemical may enter it and have an effect on your health.
  • If you have less physical activity, try to eat more vegetarian food.
Vegetarian recipes are typically low fat, low calorie and high fiber. The low calorie and low fat half makes them a perfect meal when an individual is what to attain weight loss. The high fiber half increases metabolism and therefore again, helps in weight reduction by burning extra calories.
  • If you don’t have extra times for exercise don’t worry. Do as earlier people used to do, try to find a reason to move you.
 Such as : Try to go by walking the places which are walking distance, park your car far from your office, park your car on the farthest spot of the mall or grocery store, take stairs instead of elevators, carry your shopping bag by hands instead of shopping cart etc.
