Heartburn is a burning sensation in the chest, just behind the breastbone or in the epigastrium, which is associated with gastric acid reflux on stomach. There are several triggers for heartburn if you are prone to acidity.
Warm weather is one of the major cause of stomach upset due to acidity.
Heartburn could be avoided if you take care of some food and better try to avoid them are as follows;

1. Meat kebabs,because meat are greasy and high in fat. Replace them with grilled chicken kebab, fish or veggie.
2. Hot dogs.
3. Dairy foods such as ice cream,mousse,pudding, custard.
4. Fried potato chips. Replace them with the non spicy baked one, if you can't avoid potato chips.
5.French fries from fast food store, because including high trans fat they use some coating to make it crispy which triggers acid reflux in stomach. If you can't avoid the craving then make it at home.
6.Fried chicken are the best friend of heart burn, so try to eat skinless baked or grilled chicken breast.
7. Onion has lots of health benefit if you eat it raw but the reverse action happened if you eat onion fried or grilled. Grilled or fried onion cause instant acid reflux and as a result digestive distress in stomach.
8.Sweet or hot peppers are known as heart burn triggers.
9.Sausages. Sausages either spicy or plain, both cause heartburn because of their high fat content.
10. Try to avoid hamburger, enjoy lean chicken,turkey,fish or veggie burger but watch out for those heartburn triggering toppings which i am going to mention --such as
a. Spicy and high fatty salad dressings( including ketchup,mustard)
b.Hot and sweet peppers.
c. hot salsa
d. Even tomato cause heart burn to some people,because tomato is acidic id nature. If tomato don't bother you then go for it raw on salad topping.
Try to make customize your salad dressing using hummus, fresh herbs, black pepper,low fat mayo.
Make your own salsa using mashed avocado, lemon juice, black pepper, dried basil.
Some drinks that cause heartburn are as follows:
1. Root beer or any carbonated drink.
2.Iced coffee. Replace iced coffee with iced tea.
3. Bottled juice from store are triggers of acid reflux because of their sugar content. make your juice at home from fresh fruits or try to eat them whole.
Any fruit is good for health but some fruits may cause heartburn to some people such as:
Pineapple, watermelon.
Try ripe papaya. Ripe papaya works as an aid in digestion for everybody and specially the people who suffers from acid reflux or heartburn.
