The Common Causes of Premature Gray Hair

Graying hair is not always related to one’s age. Gray hair can occur as young as in our teens and range into our late 50's and even older.
Some people start to gray in their early 20's or 30's; this is called premature graying. Their gray hair may look the same when they are older as it did in their 20's or 30's.
There are different reasons of graying hair, it vary person to person.

Some common possible reasons of premature aging of hair are as follows:

  • Certain illness such as prolonged cold, sinusitis, typhoid, hepatitis or even constipation is big reason or any medication, but all of them are a temporary phenomenon.
  • Thyroid imbalance is a major reason for Graying hair.
  • A deficiency of B12 and Copper cause the halt of melanin production.
  • Other nutritional deficiencies are the deficiencies such as iron, folic acid, silica, iodine.
