Common Symptoms of Iron Deficiency Anemia

Blood test for Iron deficiency Anemia

Sometimes you may not notice the symptoms of anemia, because it develops slowly and the symptoms may be mild. 
So if you have the following symptoms, asks your doctor to send you for blood test, before your anemia gets worse.
  
Symptoms of  Iron Deficiency Anemia:


Fatigued
Headache
  •     Feel fatigued and get tired more easily.
  •     Feel dizzy and lethargic.
  •     Have headaches.
  •     Pale skin color
  •     Pale and brittle nails.
  •     Palpitation or chest discomfort
  •     Feel faint like feeling   
  •     Sore or inflamed tongue
  •     Feel cold
  •     Cold palms and the bottom part of feet
  •     Restlessness in legs
  •     Feel shortness of breath.
  •     Have trouble concentrating.
  •     Pica (craving of unusual inedible things like clay, grout etc.)  
  •     Pale looking stool.
Hard to concentrate
Cranky kid
Babies and small children with anemia may:

  •     Be cranky.
  •    Feeling Hard to concentrate.
  •     Poor immunity
  •     Grow more slowly than normal.
  •     Develop skills, such as walking and talking, later than normal.
